Today, Reinforced Earth is used extensively throughout the world. It is well suited to a range of site conditions, both dry land and marine. Applications include retaining walls bridge abutments, slot bunkers. dykes and slope stability.

Reinforced Earth is a composite material formed by the interaction of a non - cohesive granular soil with high adherence polyester geogrid.
The primary function of the tensile reinforcement in a reinforced soil structure is to resists the interal lateral earth pressure so that the soil reinforced behaves as a stable coherent gravity mass. The soil and geogrid reinforcement combine through friction and produce an integrated mass in which the reinforcements carry the tensile stresses.
